Thomas Tuchel Claims Neymar Wanted PSG Exit Before Copa America


Tuesday: Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) boss, Thomas Tuchel claims Brazilian star, Neymar wanted club exit before commencement of hostilities at the just concluded 2019 Copa America.

Speaking with RMC moments after PSG’s 6-1 pre-season friendly win over Dynamo Dresden, the German tactician, who was visibly unhappy spoke on how things are shaping up with Neymar’s return for pre-season.

“I am always disappointed when a player turns up late”.

But it is something between the club and Neymar,” admitted Tuchel, who also confirmed it is still unclear if Neymar will remain at the club or not.

He noted that the Brazilian’s future is up to the club board to decide.

Neymar refused returning for pre-season training on time amid claims he is seeking a return to former club Barcelona.

PSG fired back by stating they would take action against the Brazilian international.

Neymar headed back to the French capital on Monday and held talks with sporting director Leonardo.

According to Albert Masnou at Sport, the 27-year-old Neymar confirmed his desire to leave the club, ahead of the 2019-20 season.

The 27-year-old has insisted on leaving the Paris based club barely two years after joining them in a world record fee valued around €222 million.
